COMPUTATIONAL SIMULATION TO MEET PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
OBJETIVO
The course aims to enable the student to develop computer simulations to meet the thermal and lighting performance requirements of the Residential Building Performance standard (NBR 15575-2013). The objective is to make the student familiar with simulation software and acquire basic notions of computer simulation of buildings, in the areas of thermal and lighting, as well as performing the necessary simulations to comply with the standard.
A QUEM SE DESTINA
Architects, engineers, technicians, students, technical team of builders or developers and other professionals in the area of environmental comfort in buildings. Basic knowledge of English is required.

METODOLOGIA
The course will be taught through explanations based on support material and practical exercises. Students must carry notebooks compatible with the SketchUp Make, OpenStudio, Radiance and EnergyPlus software system (all available free of charge for download and installation) and also a mouse to facilitate operation and agility during the exercises.
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Processor with SSE2 Support · 4 GB RAM (min. 2GB) · DirectX10 Graphics Card (1 GB RAM + VRAM) · Resolution min. 1024 x 768 pxWindows 8 (32/64 bit) · Windows 7 (32/64 bit)
PRACTICAL TIPS FOR A GOOD COURSE: Install the software in advance to ensure your hardware is compatible. Bring a good mouse, preferably a desktop mouse, as your performance during the course will be much higher.
IMPORTANT: When registering, request instructions for installing the software.
